What is Iyengar Yoga?

The main principle of Iyengar yoga according to B.K.S. Iyengar is alignment of the body in asana.


Correct alignment:

a

minimizes the risk of injury,

a

enables deeper and safer stretching and strengthening,

a

develops stability, balance, and control of movement,

a

promotes conscious awareness of the body and the connection between the body and breath.

Level L0 is taught by a lecturer who is preparing for the L1 exams. The content of the lessons is identical to that of L1.
